Changelog

What changed in Crumbless

Every addition, improvement and fix to the product — from most recent to oldest.

Docs and changelog open to everyone

  • The guides and this changelog can be read without a beta invite, and every docs link on the site now opens the right page.

A new crumbless.app

  • The crumbless.app home, Features, Agents, Tools and Docs pages are redesigned and open to everyone. The app itself is still invite-only during the beta.

The website, made for phones

  • Every page of the site now fits a phone screen, with the full-size scenes from desktop instead of shrunken ones.

New workspaces start with a free trial

  • A new workspace starts a 14-day Base trial straight away, with its monthly credits included.

Cancelling an older plan

  • Plans bought before workspace billing are cancelled by emailing support.

Invoices and payment method in Plan & billing

  • Organization owners can download invoices and change the payment card from Plan & billing.

Simpler cancellation

  • Cancelling goes straight to a confirmation. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Add extra brands when you choose a plan

  • When you choose a plan you can add extra brands, each billed monthly with your plan.
  • Extra brands renew with your plan every month.

Up to 20 extra brands

  • You can add up to 20 extra brands to your plan. For more, talk to us about Enterprise.

A better-looking CLI, in English

  • The CLI, its help and its guides are now in English.
  • Running crumbless on its own shows a welcome screen with the Crumbless mark and where to start.
  • The page that connects the CLI to your account has a new design.

Move to a lower plan at renewal

  • Organization owners can switch to a lower plan or fewer extra brands from their next renewal. Nothing is charged or refunded now.
  • You keep your current plan, credits and brands until the renewal, and can undo the change before then.
  • If your new plan covers fewer brands, you choose which ones stay active.

Cancel or keep your plan

  • Organization owners can cancel their plan from Plan & billing. It stays active, with all its credits, until the end of the paid period.
  • Changed your mind? Keep your plan any time before it ends, and it renews as usual.
  • Plan & billing shows the date your plan renews or ends.

Add brands to your plan

  • Organization owners on a paid plan can add extra brands from Plan & billing, paying only the prorated amount for the rest of the month.
  • Upgrading your plan keeps the extra brands you already have.

Upgrade your plan anytime

  • Organization owners on a paid plan can upgrade to Pro or Agency from Plan & billing.
  • You see the prorated amount charged today before confirming, and only pay the difference.
  • The extra credits for the rest of your billing period are added once Stripe confirms the payment.

Subscribe from Plan & billing

  • Organization owners can choose a plan and see the exact monthly price and credits before paying.
  • During your free trial you can subscribe to Base now and be charged only when the trial ends.
  • Payment happens on Stripe’s secure page, and your plan updates once Stripe confirms it.

Clearer organization plans

  • Plan & billing shows your organization’s plan and trial status.
  • Trials with Pro features for testing say so, without changing your Base plan.
  • Plan & billing shows when billing status is unavailable instead of guessing.

  • Unconfirmed blog changes show the last confirmed state and ask you to reload before changing it again.
  • Keyboard focus returns after a blog change, with a visible focus indicator.

Confirm plan changes before generation

  • Post generation waits for confirmed plan changes. If a save cannot be confirmed, work does not start.

CLI and local MCP on npm

  • Install the Crumbless CLI and local MCP server with npm on Node 22 or newer.
  • npm installations now show the right update command, including on Windows.

Keep your backlink work

  • Saved opportunities, placements and listings stay visible when access changes.
  • Refreshing opportunities preserves your edits without turning an uncertain result into an empty list.

Keep your ad work during access interruptions

  • Saved campaigns, accounts and remix briefs remain visible when Ads access cannot be checked.
  • Recoverable remix briefs stay available after interrupted saves without replacing completed work.
  • Verified production jobs stay checkable; older uncertain jobs are held for review.
  • Ad status and spend are marked as saved history. Check and stop live ads in the ad platform.
  • Saved ad account reads report unavailable in Settings and new campaign forms, not empty or verified active.
  • Only confirmed local proposals can be rejected; older uncertain proposals remain on hold.

  • Campaign launches, resumes and duplication stay paused until payment and provider recovery are safe.

Safer confirmation messages

  • Brand names and email addresses appear as text in account and plan confirmations.

Background processing reports queue failures

  • Document and setup workers keep completed work when the remaining queue cannot be checked.

  • Website scans keep saved pages when access changes or a scan is interrupted.
  • Scan results distinguish saved, failed and unconfirmed pages, with an explicit reload for the saved list.

  • The tracker shows your current keyword capacity and stays usable when empty.

Keep saved changes visible

  • Overlapping saves and page refreshes no longer leave older results in the page cache.

Keep panel changes with the right brand

  • Panel changes stay with the intended brand, and switching brands no longer shows an earlier panel’s data.

Keyboard focus survives form changes

  • Keyboard focus stays on a useful control when a submitted form disappears.

Resume interrupted brand setup

  • Reopening interrupted setup restores your saved notes instead of starting an empty wizard.
  • Setup preserves newer saved notes rather than replacing them with an older draft.
  • Retries resume saved setup without repeating analysis or opening a second setup conversation.

CLI sign-in finishes promptly

  • The CLI closes sign-in promptly after authentication succeeds or fails.
  • A browser-opening error no longer leaves a sign-in listener running.

CLI sign-in address

  • CLI sign-in and MCP use crumbless.app in production.
  • An explicit server address is preserved even when a local app is running.

A more distinctive Docs experience

  • The introductory guides form a numbered sequence that adapts to smaller screens.

Clearer documentation navigation

  • Duplicate knowledge uploads no longer remove the stored file.
  • Connected sources keep updating existing documents when new additions reach the limit.

Recover interrupted social imports

  • Interrupted social-history imports preserve fetched posts for recovery.
  • Recovered posts keep their original timestamps without replacing newer saved content.

Clearer recurring-work status

  • Recurring work shows whether credits are exhausted, access is paused or a check is unavailable.
  • Brand diagnostics distinguish blocked work from an incomplete check.

Planning limits follow your access

  • Planning batch sizes and CLI post quotas follow your current access.
  • Long chats keep their included context without spending credits on summaries when work is paused.

Keep earlier computer checkpoints

  • Failed computer checkpoints no longer replace earlier saved work.
  • Idle computer cleanup still runs when saving its files fails.

Blog settings retain your choices

  • Saved blog languages and cadence stay visible when your limits change.
  • Blog settings explain unavailable access and reject new choices outside your allowance.

Keep generated images when work pauses

  • Image workflows keep completed results when billing pauses further generation.
  • Paused image work does not silently retry with another paid provider.

Smoother mobile startup

  • The mobile menu accepts clicks only when it is ready to respond.
  • Homepage story graphics start when readers reach them, rather than during initial navigation.

Keep drafts when generation pauses

  • Image and post generation keep drafts when credit accounting stops the work.
  • Unfinished graphic revisions stay as drafts instead of replacing the current post.
  • Interrupted batch revisions keep earlier images where replacements are missing.

Review follows the latest draft

  • Motion, image and UGC completion checks use the latest draft and settings.
  • Editing and reverting a draft requires a fresh review.
  • Failed or outdated checks retain your work as pending, not finished.

Keep website crawls within their limit

  • Website crawls count the homepage within the page allowance.

CLI connection defaults

  • The CLI connects to the Crumbless app and its sign-in service by default, not the marketing website.

Noninteractive CLI installation

  • Piped CLI installations finish without prompting for optional AI skills or changing project configuration.
  • Scripted skill installation requires an explicit project or global destination.

Standalone CLI release checks

  • Standalone CLI releases no longer depend on npm publishing.
  • CLI builds stop when a required download is missing or incomplete.
  • Setup guides distinguish CLI binaries from the separate MCP launcher and deferred channels.

Drafts stay saved when review pauses

  • Motion and UGC drafts stay saved when review or billing needs attention, without restarting paid work automatically.
  • Finished video batches stay complete instead of starting another run.

Billing pauses stop extra paid retries

  • Billing pauses stop new paid retries while keeping work already produced.

Safer Motion video validation

  • Motion validates video source without running it in the app.
  • Exports and storyboards use consistent dimensions and timing.
  • Templates with unsupported metadata are preserved but unavailable for new videos.

Private approval links

  • Approval confirmations open without analytics tracking.
  • Beta sign-in asks you to reopen your original approval link afterward.
  • Approval links cannot substitute for beta sign-in.

Install as app, with the right name

  • Installing Crumbless as an app now says Crumbless, not the name of the project this codebase was forked from.
  • The "Made with Crumbless" badge carries the right name.
  • Book a call now writes to office@crumbless.ai — the old link opened another company's calendar.
  • crumbless update and brew install download from the Crumbless release repo instead of failing.

Who runs this service

  • Privacy, Terms and the footer now name Crumblx AI Ltd, the company that actually operates Crumbless.
  • The showcase and reviews on the marketing pages are empty until they hold real Crumbless work.
  • The Claude and Codex plugins are published under the company, not a personal account.

The CLI has a home you can download from

  • The CLI source, MCP server and agent skills are public at github.com/crumblessai/crumbless-cli.
  • Install, update and brew now point at a repository that actually serves the binaries.

Page headers say when the page last moved

  • Every page now carries the date and the time it was last updated under its title, so you can tell at a glance whether you are looking at this morning or last week.
  • Page titles are larger and no longer compete with the section list beside them.
  • Pages opened in a panel over your work now show the same header as the full page, instead of a label guessed from the address.

Pages opened over the chat use their full width

  • The brand overview and every hub overview now lay themselves out the same whether you open them over the chat or on their own page — three metrics across instead of one stacked column.
  • Hub overviews stop rearranging their cards when you only resize the window and the column they sit in has not changed.

A shorter, more honest Overview

  • The Overview is about half as long and leads with what is waiting for you.
  • Posts and articles awaiting approval now appear as the post, at a size you can judge, instead of a line of text about it.
  • Every missing number says why it is missing — "No audit run yet", "Not checked yet" — instead of showing a dash or a zero.
  • Setup is one line of steps that disappears when you finish it, and what is left to do comes first.
  • Growth data readiness puts what blocks production first, what is advisory next, and folds everything already passing into a single row.
  • Two figures that were being collected but never shown — AI Overview citations and referring domains — are on the page.
  • Charts only appear where there is a real series behind them; counts that used to be drawn as bars are just counts.

A demo brand with something in it

  • Self-hosted installs can run `npm run db:seed:demo` to add a fully populated demo brand — posts waiting for approval, a blog pipeline, scheduled items, SEO and AI-visibility scores, and a month of engagement — so every part of the overview has something to show. Re-run it any time to refresh the dates.

Faster repeat visits

  • Fonts, badges and generated images are cached in your browser again, so pages after the first one load without re-downloading them.

Documentation links and the API reference

  • The API reference keeps its code examples beside you as you scroll through an endpoint. The panel had stopped holding its position.
  • Two documentation pages pointed at a source repository that does not exist. They link to the historical upstream project again.

Docs reads as one continuous handbook

  • Docs now carries the Crumbless header, with a thin bar underneath for Guides/Developers, the chapter ribbon, the full chapter index and search. The old documentation header and the language selector are gone.
  • Chapters no longer stop at the end of a page: the next one loads underneath as you scroll, and the ribbon marks the chapter you are reading while the address bar follows.
  • Three guides that were missing: working with agents, creative Studio, and reviewing and publishing.
  • Every existing documentation link still resolves, and appending .md to a page still returns just that chapter.

Inside Chip, in Labs

  • Read how Chip uses caption corrections, checks writing quality and reviews images alongside captions.
  • Browse implementation notes and editorial guides separately, with examples and limitations clearly labelled.
  • Keep your place in Labs when opening a note and returning to the collection.

Features and tools, on one endless row

  • Features and free tools now sit on a single horizontal row you can scroll forever in either direction, instead of a long vertical grid.
  • Six filters across the top of Features — All, the four turns of the loop, and Problems — decide what is on the row.
  • Tools have a search box: type what you need and the row narrows as you type, on top of whichever category is selected.
  • Opening anything takes over the whole screen. Escape closes it and puts you back on the card you came from.
